There was a fantastic turn out for the Conservative Women's Organisation (CWO) Annual General Meeting, chaired by Parliamentary Candidate for Eastleigh, Mims Davies
The meeting was followed by an interactive Conservative Policy Forum (CPF) chaired by District and County Councillor Pete Bradbury. The debate was led by Parliamentary Candidate for Wealden, Nus Ghani with lively debate on the questions: Should 16 and 17 year olds be given the right to vote in the European Referendum? and Should women be allowed to serve on the front line in combat roles?
This meeting marked the first full year for the CWO, which has gone from strength to strength since its foundation. The organisation has made substantial donations to cancer charity Macmillan through the World's Biggest Coffee Morning, as well as encouraging political engagement among women by holding a 'Politics and Pampering' event at Smiles and Styles hairdressers in Burgess Hill.
