Katy Bourne's priorities to ensure that we are all Safer in Sussex:
- Cutting crime and catching more criminals
- Visible and effective neighbourhood policing
- Putting the victim at the heart of the justice system
- Tackling anti-social behaviour & domestic violence
- Delivering value for money and a Council Tax freeze
On the 15th November, Sussex residents will have the chance to elect a Police & Crime Commissioner, whose job it will be to hold the police to account and ensure the police focus on the public’s priorities.
The new position will replace the
17 member Police Authority and provide strong leadership for Sussex Police, whilst maintaining the police’s operational independence.
Importantly, the Police & Crime Commissioner will be 65% cheaper than the costs of the existing Police Authority, saving over £160,000 - money which can be reinvested in crime fighting in your community.
Conservative candidate Katy Bourne has been travelling across Sussex to listen to the views of residents about crime and policing
Katy says: “I believe every citizen has a right to feel safe on the streets and in their homes. As the Conservative candidate, you can be sure that law and order, supporting families and sound public finances will be at the heart of everything I do”.
