Town Councillor Neil Lawrence has unfortunately been forced to resign his seat as his employer is requiring him to move abroad for work.
Neil’s move was entirely unforeseen and he greatly regrets not being able to continue to serve Meeds North residents.
A by-election will be held on Thursday 10th May and Burgess Hill Conservatives have chosen local resident Dan Airs to represent them.
Dan has lived in Burgess Hill for 20 years. He is married to Kate and the couple have two grown up children.
Having spent a wide ranging career in public service and finance, Dan now works in the railway industry giving him first hand experience of the problems faced by commuters.
He is chairman of Southdown Rovers and is passionate about the local community, youth services and education provision.
